ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Nic (she/her). I’ve been cutting and colouring hair in Melbourne for many years. I love it. I feel grateful to work from my private studio in the Nicholas Building, one of my favourite places in Melbourne. I will continue to work hard to make it a comfortable, plant-filled oasis. I see it as your space just as much as it is mine, and I love the community feel we seem to have created together. I often have new clients say it feels like they’ve been spoiled while hanging out at a friend’s place, which I love. 

I choose to use COLOR.ME by Kevin Murphy for many reasons. The incredible results it gives, on top of the fact it is ammonia free, and leaves the hair in incredible condition. I use Evo Staino for my vivids. 

I’m often asked about my style of work, and if I prefer cutting or colour. They both complement each other so much, and I love that I can use them together to collaborate with clients to create a look that suits their lifestyle, maintenance level, and makes them feel good. 

Most of my haircuts tend to be able to be styled quickly, or air dried. I love texture, short haircuts, and am really into cutting/boosting curly hair. However, I also love the precision of a “spirit level bob”, and long hair. My pricing structure is time rather than gender based. 

Given the speed of the physical opening in June 2023, I’m  settling into and refining my space in 2024. I am welcoming new clients, so please book a consultation if you fancy a change. I don’t answer my salon phone, as I work one on one, but I happily schedule in person, zoom and call consults if you prefer this method of communication. I now have Gift Certificates available both in salon and in my online store.
